Menutup aurat tentu saja wajib. Allah Ta’ala berfirman,
وَقُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ
أَبْصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ
إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا
“Katakanlah kepada wanita yang beriman: “Hendaklah mereka menahan
pandangannya, dan kemaluannya, dan janganlah mereka menampakkan
perhiasannya, kecuali yang (biasa) nampak dari padanya.” (QS. An Nuur:
31).
Berdasarkan tafsiran Ibnu Abbas, Ibnu Umar, Atho’ bin Abi Robbah, dan

berlenggak-lenggok, kepala mereka seperti punuk unta yang miring. Wanita
seperti itu tidak akan masuk surga dan tidak akan mencium baunya,
walaupun baunya tercium selama perjalanan sekian dan sekian.” (HR.
Muslim no. 2128).
Yang dimaksud berpakaian tetapi telanjang itu apa? Yaitu berpakaian
dengan sengaja menampakkan keindahan tubuh. Juga yang dimaksud adalah
berpakaian tipis sehinga nampak bagian dalam tubuh. Itulah yang kita
lihat dari model pakaian muda-mudi saat ini.
Orang yang berpuasa tentu saja mesti meninggalkan maksiat. Satu
persen saja ia menahan lapar dan dahaga, 99% lainnya yang lebih berat
yaitu meninggalkan maksiat. Dan mengumbar dan membuka-buka aurat
termasuk maksiat. Lihatlah akibat dari orang yang berpuasa namun masih
terus bermaksiat.
Dari Abu Hurairah, Rasulullah SAW bersabda, “Barangsiapa yang tidak
meninggalkan perkataan dusta (az zuur) dan mengamalkannya, maka Allah
tidak butuh dari rasa lapar dan haus yang dia tahan.” (HR. Bukhari no.
1903).
Mengamalkan az zuur yang dimaksud dalam hadits ini adalah mengamalkan suatu yang haram secara umum.
Apakah mesti menghijabi hati lebih dulu? Tidak demikian. Justru
dengan menutupi aurat dengan hijab sempurna, hati pun akan ikut baik.
Kenapa tidak percaya itu? Terus menerus membuka aurat malah membuat hati
semakin kelam dan gelap karena terus dinodai hitamnya maksiat.
