النَّبِيَّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ ۖ نُورُهُمْ يَسْعَىٰ بَيْنَ
أَيْدِيهِمْ وَبِأَيْمَانِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَتْمِمْ لَنَا
نُورَنَا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
"Hai orang-orang yang beriman, bertaubatlah kepada Allah dengan Taubatan Nasuha
(taubat yang semurni-murninya). Mudah-mudahan Rabbmu akan menutupi
kesalahan-kesalahanmu dan memasukkanmu ke dalam Surga yang mengalir di
bawahnya sungai-sungai, pada hari ketika Allah tidak menghinakan Nabi
dan orang-orang mukmin yang bersama dia; sedang cahaya mereka memancar
di hadapan dan di sebelah kanan mereka, sambil mereka mengatakan: "Ya
Rabb kami, sempurnakanlah bagi kami cahaya kami dan ampunilah kami;
Sesungguhnya Engkau Maha Kuasa atas segala sesuatu". (QS At-Tahrim Ayat
8)
Ya, tobat nashuha.
Inilah perbuatan yang sangat disenangi Allah Ta'ala. Ketika seseorang
melakukan banyak dosa dan maksiat, Allah masih memberi pintu tobat
untuknya. "Sesungguhnya Allah mengampuni dosa-dosa semuanya. Sesungguhnya Dia-lah Yang Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang." (QS Az-Zumar: 53)
Dalam riwayat Imam muslim disebutkan, Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم bersabda: "Sesungguhnya Allah sangat gembira menerima taubat
hamba-Nya ketika bertaubat kepada-Nya, melebihi darikegembiraan
seseorang yang berkendaraan di tengah padang pasir tetapi hewan yang
dikendarai lari meninggalkannya, padahal di atas hewan itu terdapat
makanan dan minuman, kemudian dia berteduh di bawah pohon, dan
membaringkan badannya, sedang ia benar-benar putus asa untuk-menemukan
kembali hewan yang dikendarainya. Ketika bangkit, tiba-tiba ia menemukan
kembali hewan yang dikendarainya lengkap dengan bekal yang dibawanya,
ia pun segera memegang tali kekangnya, seraya berkata karena sangat
gembira: "Ya Allah, Engkau adalah hambaku dan akuadalah Tuhan-mu." Ia
keliru mengucapkan kalimat itu karena luapan kegembiraannya."
Pesan Nabi tentang Keutamaan Tobat
Dari
Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu 'anhu ia berkata: Saya mendengar dari
Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم bersabda: "Demi Allah, sesungguhnya saya
membaca istighfar dan bertaubat kepada-Nya lebih dari tujuh puluh kali
setiap hari." (HR Al-Bukhari)
Dari Al-Aghar bin Yasar Al-Muzanniy, ia berkata: Rasulullah
صلى الله عليه وسلم bersabda: "Wahai manusia, bertaubatlah kalian kepada
Allah dan mohonlah ampun kepada-Nya, sesungguhnya saya bertaubat
seratus kali setiap hari." (HR Muslim)
Dari Abu Hamzah Anas bin
Malik Al-Anshariy (pembantu Rasulullah) berkata: Rasulullah صلى الله
عليه وسلم bersabda: "Sesungguhnya Allah gembira menerima taubat
hamba-Nya, melebihi kegembiraan seseorang diantara kalian ketika
menemukan kembali untanya yang hilang di padang yang luas." (Muttafaq
'alaih)
Dari Abu Musa Abdullah bin Qais Al-Asy'ariy, dari Nabi
صلى الله عليه وسلم bersabda: "Sesungguhnya Allah Ta'ala itu
membentangkan tangan-Nya (memberikan kesempatan) pada waktu malam, untuk
taubat orang yang berbuat dosa pada waktu siang hari. Dan Allah
membentangkan tangan-Nya pada waktu siang, untuk taubat orang yang
berbuat dosa di malam hari, hingga matahari terbit dari barat." (HR
Muslim)
Dari Abu Hurairah, ia berkata Rasulullah صلى الله عليه
وسلم bersabda: "Siapa saja bertaubat sebelum matahari terbit dari barat,
niscaya Allah menerima taubatnya." (HR Muslim)
Dari Abu Abdurrahman Abdullah bin Umar bin Khaththab, Rasulullah
صلى الله عليه وسلم bersabda: " Sesungguhnya Allah Yang Maha Agung akan
menerima taubat seseorang sebelum-nyawa sampai di tenggorokan (sebelum
sekarat)." ( HR at-Tirmidzi)
